With over a decade of experience at the Estonian National Museum, Karoliine Bürkland is dedicated to the conservation, preservation, and study of plastics. Her work ranges from practical treatment to research on degradation processes and conservation solutions. She has focused on plastics since 2011, completing both her bachelor’s and master’s research on the subject. A true enthusiast of plastics history, she continues to advocate for a deeper understanding and appreciation of this complex material.
