64th Annual Conference

The 64th Annual Conference of the Estonian National Museum takes place from the 18th to the 20th of March 2026. Titled “Estonia-Swedes. A Diaspora with Roots” the conference is motivated by the eponymous exhibition from the museum shining a light on one of the indigenous minorities of Estonia.

The colours of our clothes. The local and the global

Are the colours of Estonian folk costumes truly our own, or are they instead the result of distant lands and global colour trade? What price does the environment pay for colourful garments, and what solutions might centuries-old natural dye recipes offer?

Welcome!

The Estonian National Museum doors are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Welcome!

Rannarootslased. Estlandssvenskar. Estonia-Swedes

Have you ever wondered if there might be a bit of Estonia-Swede in you? And even if not, traces of the Swedish-speaking minority that once lived in Western Estonia can still be seen in local and church names. Open the door, step into their world, and discover hundreds of stories from one people!

Magical Forest

Tue-Thu: 11 AM - 6 PM and Fri-Sun: 10 AM - 6 PM

The activity landscape Magical Forest, inspired by Estonian animal and forest fairytales, stimulates the senses of young children, offering role-playing opportunities and the joy of discovery.
