Throughout the evening DJs will be selecting music across the building, including the likes of Kurbade Tüdrukute Klubi, Erki Pruul, Raul Saaremets, Ivo Naries and Zoja Puhur. The DJs will take a break during Winny Puhh’s concert.
On the 3rd of October the Estonian National Museum invites you to take part of one of the most exciting nights of the season – ÖÖ26!
ÖÖ is the Estonian national Museum’s yearly launch into the new autumn season, bringing together a night of music, encounters and experiences that takes over the museum after dark.
This year’s headliner is the legendary Estonian punk band Winny Puhh, while contemporary British artist Monster Chetwynd will present a special two-hour performance created for the Estonian National Museum.
October also marks ten years since the Estonian National Museum opened its new home at Raadi. This makes this year’s ÖÖ both the opening celebration of our new season and a birthday party for the museum building itself.

With the moon waning, September being busy, autumn has arrived at full speed, and there is just one thing left to do before the month is properly over.
As the evening falls, you head out along the historic Roosi street. The thoughts of the working day begin to fall away behind you, yet at the horizon, a familiar glass building glows in the distance. It is time to enter ÖÖ.
For this special night, the museum looks completely different: atmospheric lighting, music and an entirely different rhythm take over the building.
With Winny Puhh being involved, a certain anticipation is in the air as you can never be completely certain what the band will look or sound like this time. Kilts? Noodles and sour milk? Something nobody has thought of yet?
When the time to dance arrives, Kurbade Tüdruku Klubi, the tandem broadcasting on IDA Radio, will continue its search for an answer to the eternal question: “Could we get something a little more upbeat?” At ÖÖ, the answer is yes.
If an unexpected gem from Estonia’s musical past comes through the speakers, Erki Pruul may be behind the decks. The head of Aparaaditehas and founder of record label Frotee has a particular talent for finding overlooked Estonian music in his record bag.
Seeing Raul Saaremets at the museum also comes with a curious connection: his turntables have been part of the museum collections since 2024. Whether he has come to play records or reclaim his equipment will become clear during the night.
Over on the bridge area, Ivo Naries will be waiting. You may know him from the Bling collective, or perhaps from Reisiv Siil somewhere in the Nevada desert. Either way, his selections have a habit of making everyday life disappear for a while.
There will be a special night menu with savoury bites and sweet treats as well as several pop-up bars around the museum. And because all exhibitions remain open throughout the night, there will still be time between the music, lights and performances to introduce your friends to your newest favourite museum resident – Monster Chetwynd’s cat.
Eventually, when you leave the museum and head back down Roosi street with the waning moon above you, it is entirely up to you whether to pick up the thoughts you left behind earlier in the evening, or whether ÖÖ has made room for something entirely new.
