Short-term course on Estonian culture
- Programme consists of five training days and five study visits.
- We will give further information about the study visits to registered participants.
- Training days take place in the Estonian National Museum (Muuseumi tee 2, Tartu). See how to find us here.
- This group is with English language support.
- We offer tea, coffee and snacks during the training days.
- Participation is free of charge!
NB! Please take into consideration that once registered, you must participate at least in four training days and four study visits.
The Estonian National Museum, the International House Tartu and the Society of Friends of the Estonian National Museum carry out the programme. The Integration Foundation funds the programme through the European Social Fund’s project “Activities supporting integration in Estonian society”.

Saturday, February 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Estonia – what kind of place is it? We will speak about Estonian history and the people living here, and we will also touch the topics like economy, education, religion and changes in the culture.
Saturday, March 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Estonian language... is interesting! We will have a chat about languages in general, as well as Estonian language, and the participants' experiences of learning Estonian. We visit the language exposition called "Language Brew".
Saturday, March 23 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Nature: not only cold. We will talk about people's relation to nature; more precicely about Estonian nature, traditions and environment protection.
Saturday, April 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Culture: from traditional food to modern art. We will talk about cultures in general as well as symbolic objects in Estonian culture.
Saturday, April 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Sound of Estonia: music and written word. We will look into how the books, films and music open the stories of Estonian culture and history.
