County museums

The Estonian National Museum advises and cooperates with county museums. For that purpose, the folk culture department was established in 2010, which supports the development of county museums and coordinates their joint activities. We engage in drafting development strategies for the museums, organising trainings, marketing issues. We organise the Summer Seminar of Museums, The Museums Craftsmen Class and write projects in order to receive funds for study trips to get experiences in international museum reform and organise conferences.

The Estonian National Museum invites you to explore the Estonian folk culture heritage in counties!
