Pro Ethnologia was aimed at a wider international research forum, and can be called the international flagship of the contemporary Estonian ethnology. Published since 1993-2003, Pro Ethnologia was a pre-reviewed journal, listed in the following indexes: MLA Folklore Bibliography and Anthropological Index Online.  

The Pro Ethnologia was covering in the following research areas: Estonian ethnology and museology, Finno-Ugric ethnology, Arctic anthropology, Eastern and Central European ethnology.
